The Art Academy of Cincinnati is pleased to present "In a lonely place: Mesh, Temptation, Hurt," an exhibition of poetic, minimalist paintings by Jeffrey Cortland Jones. The exhibition runs in the Pearlman Gallery from January 5 - 23, 2015 with a closing reception from 5:00-8:00 pm on Friday, January 23. Jones' paintings and drawings invite visitors to explore the layers, textures, shadows, and color play that characterize the work of the regionally-acclaimed painter. Blurred lines and overlapping textures converge to create striking works on paper that simultaneously reveal and obscure the subtle imagery captured by delicate applications of enamel, paint, and other media.
