HAMILTON - Miracle Revival Center is offering free gift wrapping from Monday, Dec. 1 through Tuesday, Dec. 23, at Bridgewater Falls located in Fairfield Twp. MRC is honored to offer this service to shoppers this holiday season, they feel it does several things. First it's a great service to the community. It's a great way to serve being the hands and feet of Christ.
"We have found that the holiday season is very stressful (buying gifts, shopping etc.) and if we can help lighten that load just a little it's worth it. It teaches our church servanthood. Part our mission as a church is to serve with joy. It also helps the church. Even though it's free, donations are accepted and all of the donations go to the church," said Pastor Terry Unthank.
This is the third year that the church has offered the free gift wrapping service, however it's the first time at the Bridgewater Falls location. The church previously offered gift wrapping at Northgate Mall, but the mall didn't have the space this year, so the church decided to find a new place to wrap.
"We are excited to be at Bridgewater Falls. It's a beautiful shopping center with new owners, and a great variety of shops in and around the center, (Target, Best Buy, JC Penney). We've wrapped hundreds of presents each year. People have responded in different ways - From shock and reluctance to being very happy and appreciative," Unthank said.
The MRC gift wrapping station is located near Coldstone Creamery. Gifts do not have to be purchased at the center. (There are limits on how many gifts can be wrapped, depending on business and closeness to the holiday.) Times for the free gift wrapping are Monday through Saturday 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., closed Sundays.
