Velcro Vortex - Cincinnati Event

The Art Academy of Cincinnati is pleased to present "Velcro Vortex," an interactive gallery installation that combines fashion design, collaboration, and public performance by fashion designer, performance artist, and visual artist, Lindsey M. Whittle. 

Whittle employs play, change, transformation, and interactivity to inspire her audience to become active participants in her public installations. "Velcro Vortex" will highlight the artist's playful spirit and will welcome others into an exhibition space that sets the stage for collaborative, interactive, whimsical creation. The nature of VelcroŽ, a revolutionary fabric fastener, will provide numerous possibilities in interacting with the elements of the installation. Gallery visitors will transform fabric, fashion accessories, themselves, and each other while creating works that will evolve throughout the run of the exhibition.
