Auditions August 16 & 17, 2014 from 1pm - 4pm. Callbacks by invitation only August 17th from 4-8pm.

ABOUT THE AUDITIONS

RELAX & HAVE FUN! Sing one song (about 16 bars) in the style of the show & read from the script.
If you are asked to attend callbacks you'll go through some choreography. Wear comfortable clothing. You may be asked to sing and read more by the production team.
Actors must be available for their scheduled audition and callbacks to be considered for casting.
Parents must accompany anyone under 18 years of age.

ABOUT THE REHEARSALS
Rehearsals will begin with a meet & greet and read through on Wed Aug 20th at 7pm.
We will generally meet Sun 1-4pm & Mon - Thur @7pm - 10pm. That said, most nights you will not be required to stay this late and we make it our goal not to "waste your time."
Music rehearsals will run for approximately 2 weeks by appointments with Musical Director Alan Masters. Some choreography will be taught during that time as well. The rest of the rehearsal time is spent on blocking and choreography.
A week prior to opening props and costumes are added, to allow a smooth transition into Opening Night.
CAST NEEDS
ASH - College student; male; baritone an S-Mart Housewares Employee, the hero.
CHERYL - College student; female; alto, Ash's little sister., nerdy, strong singer and actress.
ANNIE - The daughter of the professor; mid-twenties; female; alto, fast talker, strong heroine.
SHELLY- College student; female; alto; Scott's girl for the weekend, friendly, very pretty & voluptuous, comfortable with self image, not the sharpest pencil.
LINDA - College student; female; soprano, Ash's co-worker and girlfriend.
SCOTT - College student; male; tenor, Ash's best friend. Obnoxious. Typical DB
ED - Mid-twenties-thirties; male; bass. Can't ever get a word in. Annie's fiancé.
JAKE - Mid-thirties; male; baritone. The hillbilly guide. Bigger guy. Lovable yet creepy.
FAKE SHEMPS - Male & Female. These roles are basically all of the small roles in the show - the severed hand, the headless body, Professor's Ghost, Evil Trees, etc.
