Location: Cincinnati Nature Center - Long Branch Farm & Trails 6926 Gaynor Road, Goshen, OH 45122
On this guided, in-the-stream hike, we'll net minnows and search for mussels, crayfish, snakes, green heron and kingfisher. Downstream wading will reveal fossils, animal tracks, signs of beaver and more. Most water is 24 inches deep, but there are spots that are waist-deep for adults. Bring old sneakers or other suitable stream shoes that firmly attach to your feet (no Crocs, flip-flops or rubber boots) and old towels. Meet in the special groups parking lot at Long Branch Farm & Trails on Gaynor Road. Registration required. Members, free; nonmember adult $6, child $3. (Nonmember fee includes admission to CNC.) Recommended for ages 5+
