Delhi Rising Star 2014 - Cincinnati Event

The Delhi Civic Association would like to make individuals aware of an upcoming event. If it would be possible for you to include the following information in an appropriate place on your website, it would be greatly appreciated. The Delhi Civic Association and Delhi Skirt Game are sponsoring the 3rd annual Delhi Rising Star competition. The competition is for individuals only and is open to anyone 16 years of age or older. Contestants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent. The winner will receive a cash prize of $250 and will also perform at the Delhi Skirt Game on Friday, August 1st in front of one of the largest audiences in Delhi Township The second place winner will receive a cash prize of $100 and the third place winner will receive a cash prize of $50. Registrations will be processed in the sequence in which they are paid with no more than 24 participants being accepted. The deadline for registration is April 30, 2014. A registration fee of $10 must be paid no later than May 7, 2014. Contestants will be required to participate in one of two auditions to be held at the Delhi Civic Association meetings on either Thursday, June 5th or Thursday, July 3rd. Participants who are selected to move on in the competition will participate in one or more elimination rounds to be held during the second and third weeks in July. The winner will be selected during the final round of competition on Thursday, July 31st. All contestants will be required to sing a two-minute song a cappella during their audition. Contestants who move on to one or more of the elimination rounds will be permitted to bring musical accompaniment to those rounds of the competition.
