Maria Longworth Storer founded the Rookwood Pottery Company in 1880, not only to bring the art of pottery to Cincinnati but also to provide employment with a good wage to working women. We will celebrate Rookwood Pottery, recognized internationally as fine art pottery, at the Keller Center at St. Ursula. Riley Humler of Humler & Nolan, Appraiser on Antiques Roadshow for 13 years, and Anita Ellis, Deputy Director for Curatorial Affairs, Cincinnati Art Museum, will be available to identify and describe your Rookwood treasure.
