ReSource By The River - Cincinnati Event

Special recognitions, music and food stations featuring expertly selected wine and craft beer pairings are all on tap at this year's ReSource By The River event. ReSource, a Cincinnati non-profit that distributes corporate donations to area non-profits, will host the annual celebration of service to Cincinnati's non-profit community on Saturday, Oct. 5, at the Montgomery Inn Boathouse Riverside Pavilion. The evening starts at 7 p.m. "This is our opportunity to recognize our partnerships with local businesses, which make it possible for us to support hundreds of area non-profits, and it's also our opportunity to celebrate our member non-profits who leverage the benefits of membership to advance their missions," said Jan Armstrong-Cobb, ReSource board chair and vice president, asset management and customer service for Duke Realty Corporation's Cincinnati operations. This year, ReSource will recognize U.S. Bank with the Corporate Community Partner Award for its support of ReSource and the Cincinnati non-profit community. U.S. Bank has been the long-time presenting sponsor of ReSource's Building Blocks seminar series with the Health Foundation of Greater Cincinnati and regularly donates excess office furniture and supplies. On a community level, U.S. Bank invested $47 million in Cincinnati last year, which helped fund more affordable housing, renovate a local non-profit and contribute to the revival of the city's urban core. Its employees also spent nearly 21,000 hours volunteering in the region and served on 57 non-profit boards and committees. ReSource will also honor its 2013 Non-Profit Community Partner, the YWCA of Greater Cincinnati. The YWCA teamed with ReSource this year on its Member Makeover event. ReSource and the YWCA are planning an unveiling party for a renovated living room at the YWCA's House of Peace women's shelter later this year.
