Walking Tour: Betts Longworth Historic District - Cincinnati Event

A guided walking tour of the Betts Longworth Historic District (BLHD) will explore the architecture and history of this unique neighborhood. The tour will occur regularly during walking tour season (May through October) taking place the fourth Saturday of each month at 1 pm. Tucked away in the southeast corner of the West End, the BLHD features streetscapes unlike any other in the city. Narrow Italianate homes are mixed with nineteenth century farmhouses and early twentieth century gems. The Betts Longworth Historic District, once farmland far removed from town, became the home of notable manufacturing and retailing families. The stories of their homes and business will be explored in this 90 minute tour. The tour was developed for The Betts House by Architreks/Cincinnati-Walks, Cincinnati's premier architectural walking tour. Admission is $10 and includes admission to The Betts House. The tour departs from The Betts House, 416 Clark Street and takes place rain or shine. Reservations are not required. The Betts House is a museum of the built environment, offering exhibits and programs exploring architecture, historic preservation, building trades, construction technologies, and building materials. The Betts House is located two blocks west of Music Hall at 416 Clark Street. The museum is open Tuesday through Thursday, 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. and the second and fourth Saturdays of each month, 12:30 - 5 p.m. Other days and times are available by appointment.
