Artist Supper Club - Cincinnati Event

Know Theatre is thrilled to introduce a new addition to the Jackson Street Market, Artist Supper Club! Once every quarter, Know Theatre will host a micro-granting potluck dinner. At each of these quarterly dinners, Know Theatre and Jackson Street Market will award small community-sourced grants to support individual artist projects and initiatives that help create, build, or strengthen our Greater Cincinnati community. Here are the basics: -Everyone in attendance contributes $10 as well as an entrée or side dish. Everyone who contributes is also invited to submit a one-paragraph project proposal. -Throughout the dinner, attendees review each of the project proposals. At the end of the evening, everyone votes on the project they believe should be funded. The proposal with the most votes is then awarded the money raised that night. -Through the generous support of the Carol Ann and Ralph V. Haile, Jr./U.S. Bank Foundation, Know Theatre will also match each grant awarded up to $500, thus increasing the impact of these micro-grants. Project funding submissions should have three things in common: 1) The project should have a community component. It could be created by the community at large, or created for them and given to them at no charge, but there should be some larger benefit to the citizens of Greater Cincinnati. 2) The project should include an artistic component: visual, performance, literary, etc. 3) The project should be executable within three months (or, it should be completed before the next potluck).
