Art In Action - Cincinnati Event

Please join us for Art in Action on Saturday, March 30, 2013 from 11 am â€" 3pm at the Pendleton Art Center, located in the newly distinguished Pendleton Art District in Over-the-Rhine. Art in Action is a coalition of professional artists based at the Pendleton Art Center who reach out to the Greater Cincinnati/NKY community to EDUCATE, MOTIVATE, CREATE and PARTICIPATE in and about ART. This community outreach program will be held on the last Saturday of the month from March â€" August 2013 from 11 am to 3 pm. It is free and open to the public, with access to free parking in the gravel lot across the street and on the street. Art in Action will offer a variety of free art demonstrations and classes as well as the opportunity to view and purchase original artworks from the studios of participating artists. All classes will be available on a first come, first served basis and may change monthly as varying artists participate. A wide range of media will be featured including painting, stained glass and stone carving demonstrations as well as hands-on classes involving ceramics, printmaking and drawing. Class times run from twenty minutes to an hour and are suited to a variety of age groups from children to adults. Some artists will be demonstrating all afternoon and welcome the public to watch, ask questions and learn more about the artists’ work.
