Horizons of Gold is an original musical created by Mars Hill Academy's drama director Mrs. Beth Kenniv. The premiere weekend March 15 and 16 will feature 50 Mars Hill students in grades 7-12. Horizons of Gold will take audiences on a journey with a family from northwestern Kansas as they endure the trials of the Great Depression and the Dust Bowl. This show is appropriate for all ages and features both serious and humorous moments. Tickets for reserved seating are $11/person and may be purchased at www.marshill.edu. Artists James Kenniv, Jeff Smith of Whirlwind Productions, and Dave Thompson have also written music and lyrics for this production; national ballroom dance champion and director of the Cincinati Princess Ballet, Gordon Havens, is contributing original dance choreography.
