Jazz & Poetry Cafe: Shiny Stockings - Cincinnati Event

The Friends of Harriet Beecher Stowe House will host the annual Jazz & Poetry Cafe event on Sunday February 24 from 4 to 7 PM. This year's event will feature a special reception in honor of recent retirees and February birthday VIP's. The Undercover Music Ensemble will pay homage to the late composer and arranger Frank Foster, former musical director of the Grammy Award winning Count Basie Orchestra. Local Artist Raymond Lane will unveil an original clay sculpture in honor of Dr. Frank Foster. Several local poets will read their original works and selected poems by Harriet Beecher Stowe. Local author Claude Dallas Jr. will sign copies of his new book on healthy living for families. The Friends will host a silent auction as well as light refreshments. Voluntary donations are welcome..
