Shape-Note Singers Visit The Stowe House - Cincinnati Event

For the second year, the Shape-Note Singers of Greater Cincinnati invites singers of all ages to attend the annual New Year's Day Shape Note Singing at the Harriet Beecher Stowe House on Tuesday January 1, 2013. The event runs from 10 AM thru 3:30 PM. The singers will ring in the New Year with Shape Note Hymns from the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries. Sacred harp books will be availble to borrow or purchase. Everyone is invited to particpate in this unique musical event for family and friends. Bring along a covered dish. A delicious pot-luck lunch will be served to all.
